Knowledge Hub on Early Childhood Development in Latin America and the Caribbean

The knowledge hub aims to promote and facilitate the exchange of knowledge and useful resources on Early Childhood Development (ECD) in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) as well as to highlight the wealth of learning and knowledge produced in our region. This resources portal seeks to assist governments, national and international organizations, the private sector, civil society, students, families, and anyone interested in knowing and learning about early childhood development in the region.

To this end, we present an interactive map with 70+ ECD innovations from LAC countries that includes a description of their implementation and impact as well as links where additional information can be obtained. We also provide access to ECD resources produced by a variety of people and organizations in LAC: publications, blogs, measurement tools, events, webinars, and more. Also included are COVID and early childhood related resources.

This initiative was developed by the Early Childhood Development Innovation Fund, a partnership that finances, designs, implements and evaluates innovative and scalable solutions to improve the lives of children between 0-5 years of age in the most disadvantaged sectors of the region’s population. Coordinated and managed by the Inter-American Development Bank, the Innovation Fund also includes FEMSA Foundation, Maria Cecilia Souto Vidigal Foundation (FMCSV), Open Society Foundation, and Porticus.
